Turkish FM Engages US, Pakistani Officials on Iran–US Islamabad Talks
According to reports, the phone conversations focused on reviewing the positions presented by the different sides during the talks, as well as considering possible next steps in the ongoing diplomatic process.
The discussions followed the conclusion of lengthy negotiations between delegations from Iran and the United States, which lasted around 21 hours and ended in Islamabad early Sunday without any agreement being reached.
In parallel developments, reports indicate that more than 3,000 people have been killed in airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel in Iran since February 28. In response, Tehran is said to have launched retaliatory strikes targeting locations in Israel, Iraq, Jordan, and several Gulf states hosting US military assets, before a two-week ceasefire was later announced earlier this week.
